- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine the chicken, turkey bacon, carrots, peas, onion, chicken broth, thyme, and garlic powder.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry, then stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a pie dish and cover with pie crusts, cutting slits for steam to escape.
- Bake in the oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
