Indulge in the delicious combination of turkey bacon and chicken ham in this Swiss Mushroom Melt recipe.


Ingredients

  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 4 ounces chicken ham
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add butter and mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms are golden brown.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Layer chicken ham, sautéed mushrooms, cooked turkey bacon, and Swiss cheese on two slices of bread. Top with remaining slices, mustard side down.
  5. Grill the sandwiches in the skillet until both sides are golden and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding some caramelized onions to the filling.
  • To make this recipe vegetarian, omit the turkey bacon and chicken ham.
