Description

These Halloween Vampire Bite Cupcakes are a fun, delicious treat perfect for any spooky celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 cup frosting of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Prepare a cupcake pan with liners and fill each about 2/3 full with batter.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
  7. Using a knife, cut a small hole in the top of each cupcake and fill with raspberry jam.
  8. Frost the cupcakes and let the jam peek out for a ‘bite’ effect.

Notes

  • For extra spooky decoration, top with plastic vampire teeth.
  • These cupcakes can also be decorated with red sprinkles to mimic blood.
