A rich and creamy corn chowder with a spicy kick, featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and chopped
  • 4 cups corn kernels
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onion and jalapeños until soft.
  3. Add the corn, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the diced chicken ham and let cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • This chowder can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a spicier version, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
