- 3 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 pound ground turkey or beef
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground turkey or beef until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add onions and bell peppers to the skillet; sauté until softened.
- Stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced zucchinis; top with meat mixture and half of the cheese.
- Add the remaining zucchinis and finish with the rest of the cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

- For a vegetarian option, substitute meat with mushrooms or a plant-based alternative.
