Ingredients

  • 4 cups zucchini, sliced
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned; drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the meat and stir to combine.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the zucchini slices, followed by half of the meat mixture.
  5. Repeat the layers, ending with the remaining zucchini on top.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
