- 1 loaf French bread
- 1 pound beef steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic, onion, and green pepper until softened.
- Add the beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly on the bread halves.
- Top with provolone cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef while cooking.
- Serve with a side of fries or salad for a complete meal.
