A delicious and hearty Crockpot Pierogi Casserole featuring kielbasa for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 24 ounces frozen pierogies
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the sauerkraut in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add half of the kielbasa on top of the sauerkraut.
  3. Layer half of the frozen pierogies over the kielbasa.
  4. Spread half of the sour cream over the pierogies.
  5. Sprinkle with half of the diced onions and half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogies are tender.
  8. Serve hot with additional sour cream if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some fresh herbs on top before serving.
  • This dish can also be made with other protein options.
