- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 large tomato, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the chicken by flattening it to an even thickness.
- Set up a breading station: one plate for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the chicken cooks, mix mayonnaise and minced garlic in a bowl.
- Once chicken is cooked, assemble the sandwiches: spread garlic mayo on the bottom half of each bun, add chicken, lettuce, and tomato, then top with the other half of the bun.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate chicken in buttermilk for an hour before breading.
- Try adding cheese for a richer taste.
