- 1 cup orzo
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in orzo, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream, spinach, and parmesan cheese, cooking until the spinach wilts.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding fresh herbs before serving.
- Use any type of sausage you prefer for a different taste.
