Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and yeast.
- In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm, then add to the dry ingredients.
- Add eggs and salt, and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough, sprinkle with chocolate chips, and roll tightly.
- Cut into rolls and place in a greased pan, then let rise again.
- Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the filling.
- Ensure the milk is not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.
