- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add orzo. Cook according to package instructions. Add broccoli during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Drain the orzo and broccoli, then add them to the skillet. Mix well to combine with the chicken sausage.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Serve warm.
