  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add orzo. Cook according to package instructions. Add broccoli during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Drain the orzo and broccoli, then add them to the skillet. Mix well to combine with the chicken sausage.
