- 1 loaf French bread
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cut the French bread into small cubes and place them in a greased casserole dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the bread cubes and gently stir to combine.
- Add the blueberries and gently fold them into the mixture.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the casserole for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
