Description

Enjoy a refreshing and easy-to-make Blueberry Iced Tea that’s perfect for hot summer days!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • ice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the blueberries and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes until the blueberries burst.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solid bits.
  3. In a separate pot, boil the remaining 3 cups of water and steep the tea bags for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in the blueberry syrup and sugar until dissolved.
  5. Add lemon slices and chill the tea in the refrigerator.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with extra blueberries and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce the sugar or use a sugar substitute.
  • Feel free to add mint leaves for additional flavor.
