Instructions

- In another bowl, whisk together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
