  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan about halfway with the batter.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow donuts to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
