Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sourdough starter, apple cider, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
- For a sweeter bread, add more brown sugar.
- Serve with butter or cream cheese for a delicious treat.
